We are currently seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to join our client at their chemical plant located just outside Heysham.
An excellent opportunity has become available to join a multinational chemical specialist offering a technically diverse workload & further progression opportunities.
This is a fully autonomous role where you will be responsible for the overall operation of the plant, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the production team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the chemical plant, ensuring all processes are running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure all safety, quality, and environmental requirements are met, and responsible for driving improvements wherever possible.
- Full P&L and budget control for the plant
- Work with the commercial team to ensure customer needs are met, and orders are fulfilled on time and to specification.
- Responsible for implementing training and recruitment plans for the entire manufacturing plant.

- Previous experience working on a COMAH site
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
