An excellent opportunity is available to join a world-renowned manufacturing & distribution organisation in a multisite role covering their flag ship plants in the North & North West.
We are looking for an experienced SHEQ professional from any manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or engineering background. You will be reporting directly to the SHEQ director and have approx. 7 sites under your remit.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s SHEQ management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and champion a culture of safety, health, environmental responsibility, and quality throughout the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement, and develop appropriate corrective and preventive action plans.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on SHEQ matters, ensuring understanding and adherence to best practices and legal requirements.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance SHEQ awareness and competency among employees.
- Monitor and analyse SHEQ performance indicators, prepare reports, and present recommendations to management for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of SHEQ objectives and initiatives.
Person:
- Experienced SHEQ professional
- Manufacturing, Distribution, Warehousing, Engineering, or similar industry background
- In-depth knowledge of relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and the ability to develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Experience in implementing and managing SHEQ management systems.
